Happy new week dear readers,
I hope you had a lovely and rewinding weekend, I on the other hand certainly enjoyed mine. It actually makes no difference since I am on holiday.
I am a lover of Jazz, I really love the soothing effect of the music which enables me to concentrate on my work and also how it improves my mood. Sometimes I ditch my friends on a Sunday to stay in bed listening to Ella Fitzgerald or Billie Holiday croon my day away while sipping a cup of tea and wishing there was a day between Sunday and Monday.
Today’s outfit was inspired by thoughts of what it was like to live in the 60’s, what did my grandmothers look like if at all they had to go to the dance. Although ruffles didn’t exactly fit into my imagination I decided this dress will substitute for the fringes worn during that time.
I’ve had this dress for over 5 years now and I still love it like I did when I first got it. I love how freeing it is and how the ruffle layers make it even better with time; I feel like I could twirl my day away in this dress.
I decided to pair this dress with white heels and a polka dot clutch and accessorize it with beaded necklaces. I have to admit I didn’t know what I was putting together, but I like the outcome.
I feel like I can travel back in time and definitely blend in.
So are you a fringe or a ruffles girl? Or are you both?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the comment section below.
Thanks for stopping by the blog.
