ANKARA SERIES: PRINT ME DASHIKI

May 10, 2016

Hi there dear readers!
I hope you've had a lovely and calm weekend and that you week is going just as fine.
Its crazy hot in Kuching so I spent most of my weekend indoors doing nothing as usual. I kept the AC and the fan running like mad, guess I'll be needing a sponsor for my electricity bill this month. lol!!
To my fellow 'Kuchingites' please remember to stay hydrated by either drinking tons of water or stocking up on those watermelons from Giant....mmh!

When this shirt became a trend/ thing sometime last year, I vowed to myself that I won't go near it let alone wear it. It was all over the place to a point of annoyance, but a trade show happened and I ended up having on of these 'Kente' / dashiki shirts.
I had no clue how to wear this shirt without looking like a bag of chips, so it stayed abandoned in my wardrobe, until I had ideas of how I'd want to wear it. Here I paired it with boyfriend jeans and threw in red heels and a yellow mini purse for that colorful touch.
Also see how I styled this shirt in my previous post, here

And of course this time I went out to look for locations and plan the outfits for each and everyone of them. I hope you are as impressed as I am. ^_^
