ANKARA SERIES: CHANNELING MOM

January 16, 2017

Hello there!

While rummaging through my files I came across these photos of outfits that never made it to the blog for various reasons.

I remember for this particular look I was upset during the photo shoot for a bucket load of reasons. But being unable to get the perfect and calm natural light was the main reason. I had been squinting for about 5 seconds which turned into being very upset throughout the shoot.
Thanks to what I believe is good effort in editing perhaps the photos don't look as bad as I think they were earlier on.
I believe that most of our parents especially our moms have these items that are older or the same age as we are. My mom has many clothes from her university years and I have become very fond of them; because I look like her in them. Every once in a while I urge her to rummage through her clothes and see what I can snatch for myself and race her memories.

About the look:
The blouse I am wearing is one of her pre-loved items during her University years. It is very obvious that fashion is evolving and I happen to have a doting eye on some vintage style //or at least it think so//. I feel like my spirit is from those days when big hair, no make-up and chunky accessories were the real deal.
Since I’m attempting to channel mom in this look, I paired this oh so lovely blouse with a skinny belt and pair of pants for a formal-ish look. To stay on the minimal scale I added white heels and a polka dot clutch for final touches.

.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did, tell me what you think of my attempt in the comment section below.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a fabulous day.

What am I wearing?
