Staying indoors can be fun until 2 weeks slide by and you slowly start losing your sanity, that has been my situation as of late and I can’t remember the last time I really wanted to go out like I do now. The weather has been very bipolar lately, causing me to spend over two weeks huddled in bed (yep! seriously) scrolling through social media, listening to music, reading a book and 75% dosing off in deep satisfying slumbers. If at all I had to ‘work’ or shoot, I’d have to do it indoors which can be fun if you have more than a white wall (at the same spot), the same poses and the patience of a two year old.

So in the bid of lifting up my spirits I tried out a new color palette and style and I’m liking it. In this look I wore 2 items that were bought on impulse and were only worn once (paired together). After that they have been sitting in my closet collecting dust for the remainder of the time because I had mixed feelings about them. I got the shirt because of its lovely vintage like print and also because “you never know”.
I like the color olive but for some reason I feel like it doesn’t look great on me.  It’s either because I’ve chosen the wrong shades or have paired it incorrectly. So this time I tried to keep it very neutral by letting only one thing pop and pairing the outfit with olive heels and a white sling bag worn as a fanny pack. The hair of course brings together the vintage vibe I was hoping for.
I think this is a job well done, what do you think?

  1. I like how the pattern on the shirt pairs so nicely with the trousers. I love the simplicity of the shoes too and the clear glass heel. You should try getting out more, even if its to simply go to a cafe, get a drink and read or observe people.

    1. Thank you Sarah for dropping by. I'm slowly absorbing your vintage style (Hehehe), I love how you effortlessly pull off anything vintage. For the past few weeks in Tanzania we've been experiencing rainy season a total opposite of the Harmattan in Nigeria. As great as going out to a cafe sounds, the weather just makes everything a challenge not to mention commuting in public transport in such conditions.
But the weather is getting back to normal now and I've finally gone out ^_^.
