EFFORTLESSLY TEXTURED

January 19, 2018

Hello there lovelies

Happy New Year, although belated I’m hoping you’ve had or are having a great start to 2018 though I can’t exactly say the same for myself. I would like to apologize for my next statement if it’ll come off as rude to you but I won’t keep apologizing for going MIA constantly. Life happens and we all handle it differently, so constantly going MIA then apologizing profusely every time I’m back is just insincere in my view. Hence i'm hoping we can take this as old friends who even when they lose touch for a while can still reconnect and have a bomb heart to heart.  I hope you can understand that.

With that aired out
I guess I can now say I’ve found the style that works for me in my current environment. Boots are my new favorite as opposed to high heels and the great thing about the UK weather is that I can probably get away with wearing boots all year round.

I’m also excited to have finally caught a hang of layering without looking like an Eskimo 😂😂 and also being able to rock different textures in an outfit. I’m very OCD about things so it’s a great achievement on my end. Additionally lets not overlook the fact that I pulled off a dress look ‘effortlessly’ / seems like the odds are in my favor this year /. Have you ever noticed that my style didn't have as much flow-y dresses as trousers or body hugging skirts/ dresses? / Now that I've brought it to your attention we can agree that this is definitely a milestone in my books /

This look was centered on these beautiful Kardashian Kollection boots that I’ve had for several years but never worn them.  I have no idea what look I was going for but its somewhere between Korean and Parisian style / silhouettes and the beret /.

Black, red and gold are classic colors and make perfect combos but when you add leather it just becomes fierce. Adding this flowery flow-y dress that oozes femininity from the silhouette simply softened the fierceness while the various textures / faux leather, faux fur and patent leather / added dashes of edge to the look.

This is casual but chic, I would go on a coffee date or to uni looking like this.
What do you think? Would you rock a similar style? I can see myself walking in this style path for the whole year.

Thanks for stopping by and do let me know your thoughts on the comments.
Stay blessed.
